Wedding Flowers Consultation: A Guide

Planning a wedding can be a really enjoyable event or it can be incredibly stressful. More than likely you’ve never planned an event as large as a wedding and sweating all the details can be a bit of a struggle.

That’s where we come in. We know today’s bride is busier, better informed and has no time to waste so to better serve you, we’ve come up with an easier way to do consultations.

Step 1: The Quote

Your first meeting should take place 6 – 8 months before your wedding date.

Our many years of experience has taught us that this 6 – 8 month time frame is the best for talking about flowers as all of the other major decisions have been made – venue rented, dresses purchased, menu chosen. This allows us to give you the best advice on how to complement all parts of your wedding with flowers.

At this meeting we will discuss all of the floral design details in your wedding – color schemes, specific flowers, and design styles.

Please try bring:

• photos of your gown and your maids’ dresses
• pictures of flowers you like (I love The Knot for picture ideas)

You can expect this step to take 30 minutes to 1 hour.

We’ll send you an e-mail quote within 24-72 hours of your initial consultation.

After you’ve decided to book with us, we’ll take a small deposit to hold the date. Then we’ll contact you about two months before your wedding date for the next consultation.

Step 2: Design Detail – 2 months prior

At this consultation we’ll go over all the details of your wedding with a fine tooth comb.

Please bring:

• A list of all the names for corsages and boutonnieres.
• Delivery addresses and time you want to be delivered
• Photographer’s information

You can expect this step to take about 30 minutes.

Step 3: Payment and Final Check – 2 – 3 weeks prior.

Two weeks before your wedding, we take the final payment for your wedding and confirm all the details with you.

This step will only take 10-20 minutes and then you just sit back and wait for your flowers to come on your big day!
